REVERSE OSMOSIS
WATER SOFTENING
Reverse Osmosis is the finest method of filtration available. It is a process where most of the undesirable elements in the water are removed in different stages. All reverse osmosis units are rated in stages and I use only the best available equipment. The only units I use are at least 5 stage units so that I can guarantee that the water is being purified to the greatest extent. My units include the following components:
1st Stage
20 Micron Filter - Removes dirt, sediment, sand, and other large particles
2nd Stage
5 Micron Filter - Removes even smaller particles
3rd Stage
Activated Carbon Filter - Removes chlorine, bitterness and odors that may be present in your water
4th Stage
Reverse Osmosis Membrane - A thin film membrane reduces 93-97% of dissolved minerals, salts and other particles, even those as small as an atom
5th Stage
In-line Carbon Block - A last step polishing process to remove any tastes or odors from your water
6th Stage (optional)
Ultra Violet Exposure - Kills any organism or bacteria remaining in your water
Water Softening is a process where calcium and magnesium, the main minerals that makes water hard, and other minerals are removed from the water through a chemical process. Water Softening uses an ion exchange resin that attracts and removes the hardness from the water as it flows through the resin. My basic softener can effectively soften about 900 gallons of water while the larger softeners can soften higher volumes. I also offer many custom units for different aplications. When the resin bed is exhausted it must be cleaned, and this is where the regenerant is used. The softeners can use either salt or potassium to regenerate, most people simply use salt, while others use potassium when they are under doctors orders or simply want to avoid sodium.
The two sizes of Water Softeners are 1 Ft. and 1.25 Ft.
